For decades locals have come to know Westwind’s Restaurant in different ways. In 1973 Westwind’s was known as The Champlain Trail Restaurant before it was a part of Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre. It was located at the East End Mall. That was 53 years ago. Fast forward to 1989, the restaurant relocated to Best Western Pembroke Inn on the ground floor. Over time, guests and locals figured out the restaurant is more than a pub-style restaurant due to its unique relationship with the hotel. It plays a pivotal role in feeding guests at the hotel, feeding locals and supporting events with custom menus.

Honestly, my new favourite date spot. The grilled chicken sandwich is so mouthwatering I could probably eat it every day. My partner loves the burgers, and I got soup as my side, not realizing it was a cabbage roll soup, which I don’t usually like but this soup was truly amazing. I’ve never been disappointed by the food. Plus, my partner and I are always looking for nice, quiet atmospheres to enjoy a date night and this place was perfect. It was quiet, low light, we tucked away in a booth and were able to enjoy a truly relaxing date night with genuinely incredible food!!! Definitely our new favourite spot!!! Price was fairly reasonable for what we got too. 58$ for a chicken sandwich, fully loaded burger, soup and salad. Plus drinks and tip, all in!!

We hosted a birthday party of approx. 30 ppl and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Our server was fantastic (Tracy I believe), food was delicious and venue was clean and fairly private.

We celebrated my uncles 70th birthday, the waitress, Tracey, was amazing, helpful, patient and amazing at her job. She was alone handling a group our size and did it seamlessly. Food was amazing and affordable! We will be back.

My sister and I inquired with Westwinds if they could host a large group (25-40) for a brunch for our Dad’s 70th, and they said “of course!” and that we could use the private room. We ended up being 25, including 3 toddlers, and Tracy and the team took the best care of us. They ensured we had everything we needed, and helped us out with tracking down little things like a lighter to light the cake candles, plates and forks for cake, etc. Tracy was extremely friendly, patient and flexible. The food was delicious too, and they had a great vegan option (veggie wrap). Thank you!

We were a large group staying at the hotel for a hockey tournament, half of the group was kids under the age of 7. The restaurant gave us a private room for dinner and took our orders earlier in the day so that our meals were all ready within minutes of being there. Great for parents so that we didn’t have hungry/impatient kids. The food all came out hot and we had over 25 orders that all came out exactly as ordered, even with a few substitutions. Everyone’s billing was correct and straightforward. The staff was extremely patient with our large group of rambunctious kids. The food tasted great and prices for meals and drinks were a great value. Would highly recommend for a group dinner.
My family also ate here in the morning and breakfast was hot and tasted great. We used the vouchers from the hotel. If you are staying when the hotel is fully booked. I highly suggest going down to breakfast early or ordering the night before. There didn’t seem to be enough staff in the morning for breakfast and a huge line was forming as we were finishing up our breakfast. There was 2 hockey teams staying the same night. many families on our team didn’t eat since they didn’t arrive as early. My suggestion would be to set up a continental style breakfast in the private room for those large groups. To reduce the demand on staff. The staff was very friendly and hustling in the morning. My husband and I were impressed with their hard work!
